The subscription is for 1 year. Each certificate has a maximum validity of 199 days. To maintain HTTPS throughout the subscription, request a reissue and install the new certificate before the current one expires.
Yearly subscription and certificate validity
- 1-year subscription: the service is ordered for a period of 1 year (365 days), regardless of how many issuances you need within that year.
- Maximum duration per certificate: each issuance has a cap of 199 days (certificate authority limit).
- Reissue and installation: request a new certificate and install it before the current one expires. Each issuance has its own expiry date and is subject to the CA limit; validity periods do not add together.
A reissue does not automatically replace the installed certificate. Check the expiry date of each issuance and schedule its replacement during the subscription.

PositiveSSL: fast validation and trust
Sectigo PositiveSSL validates control of the domain and enables encrypted connections through HTTPS. It supports RSA and ECC public-key algorithms. DV does not verify a company’s identity; the security indicator depends on the browser.
Estimated issuance: 5–20 minutes after domain validation; subject to CA review. Installation takes place after you receive the certificate and depends on the platform. It includes unlimited reissues during the subscription and unlimited server licensing.
The Sectigo CA covers up to 99,6% of browsers and mobile devices available on the market. Many other providers charge more for products that do not offer these same features.

How many domains does the certificate cover?
If you order a certificate for a single name, it includes the base domain (domain.tld) and www (www.domain.tld). The base domain is always included.
If you order a wildcard certificate, it includes all subdomains at the same level, for example *.domain.tld and the base domain (domain.tld). The position of the «.» indicates the level: *.things.domain.tld is a different level from *.domain.tld.
How long does certificate issuance take?
Estimated issuance: 5–20 minutes after domain validation; subject to CA review.
Which verification methods can be used?
The available verification methods are:
- DNS: You must create a DNS record that will be provided for validation.
- EMAIL: An email will be sent with a link so you can verify that you own the domain.
- HTTP and HTTPS: For non-wildcard names only: upload the specified file to the verification path. Use DNS or email for Wildcard.
On how many servers can I use the certificate?
On as many servers as you want. The certificate only validates the signed domain, not how many servers it has been installed on.

In what format is the certificate delivered?
The certificate is delivered in PEM format, compatible with most platforms and web servers. If you need to convert it to another format, you can open a support ticket.
I do not know how to install the certificate — can you install it?
Yes, we can install the certificate. Please open a support ticket so we can evaluate the platform and any associated costs.
Is the certificate compatible with Caja Vecina integration?
Yes, our certificates are compatible with banking entities.
Who is the certificate issuer (CA)?
The issuer is Sectigo.
Which payment methods do you accept?
Chile residents: bank transfer with Banco Santander and Banco Itaú (within 24 business hours) and debit or credit cards via Getnet, Transbank Webpay, and PayPal (immediate). International payments: PayPal and Getnet (immediate); the amount in Chilean pesos is converted automatically to US dollars at the exchange rate in effect at the time of payment. We also accept cryptocurrency payments through Cryptomus, both for residents in Chile and customers abroad.
